Getting paid with Stripe

Connect Stripe, fix a restricted account, and see how and when Bundle Pass revenue reaches you.

Connect your Stripe account

You need a connected Stripe account to create or join a Bundle Pass. It's how your revenue reaches you. Newsletter Bundles don't need Stripe.

  1. Open the menu in the top-right corner and choose Account settings.

  2. Open the Stripe tab.

  3. Select your country. Take a second here: this can't be changed after the account is created.

  4. Click Connect Stripe and follow Stripe's steps.

When you're done, the Stripe tab shows green checkmarks for Charges Enabled and Payouts Enabled. You can open your Stripe Dashboard right from this page.

Didn't finish in one go? Come back to the Stripe tab and click continue to pick up where you left off.

My Stripe account shows as restricted or incomplete

Don't worry, this is common. A newly connected Stripe account often shows a restricted status for a short while and then clears on its own.

If it sticks around:

  1. Log into Stripe and look for any required actions. The usual suspects are an unconfirmed email address or a missing piece of account information.

  2. If your onboarding is incomplete, open Account settings → Stripe in Trustfnd and click continue to finish it.

Once it's sorted in Stripe, your status in Trustfnd updates automatically.

How and when do I get paid?

Your share of every Bundle Pass sale goes to your own connected Stripe account. Trustfnd takes no revenue cut. Only Stripe's fees apply.

Transfers to your Stripe account are delayed by up to 2 days. From there, Stripe pays out to your bank on your usual Stripe schedule.

How much do I earn per sale?

You earn your discounted tier's price with every sale. While you set up or join a Bundle Pass, we show you exactly what you'll earn per sale, and you'll find Your share per sale on the bundle's manage page afterwards.

Bundle totals are rounded up to the next 50 cents, with each member's share adjusted proportionally, so your actual payout can be a few cents higher.

What about VAT?

We take care of it. Whenever a buyer is liable for VAT, Trustfnd holds it back and pays it.

Have a VAT ID yourself? You can add it in your billing settings.

What if my Stripe account uses a different currency?

A bundle runs in one currency, and every collaborator offers a tier in that currency. If your Stripe account settles in a different currency, Stripe converts your payouts for a small FX fee. You'll still get paid, just at the converted amount.
